Terms and Conditions

We reserve the right to update these terms and conditions at any time.

Payment: No place is guaranteed until payment is received. Our current class participants will be offered an exclusive period where they can book in advance of the general public for the next academic year. After this, places are offered on a first come, first served basis.

Cancellation of classes: If you wish to cancel your child’s place in a class, written notice must be given to Fiery Feet Dance Studio via email: info@fieryfeet.co.uk

A half-term’s notice is required for cancellation of all classes paid for via direct debit/subscription. Once cancellation notice has been received, the student’s place will remain active, and fees will continue to be payable, until the end of the following half term.

Students are welcome and encouraged to continue attending their classes throughout the notice period.

For the avoidance of doubt, cancellation does not take effect immediately when notice is given, and fees remain payable throughout the notice period whether the student attends their classes.

Once the notice period has ended, the student’s enrolment will be cancelled, and no further payments will be due.

Late payment policy: An £20 administration fee will be applied where an invoice has not been paid by the due date. Invoices may be issued for miscellaneous items including but not limited to costumes, examination fees, competition fees or other one-off payments.

Where a direct debit or subscription has failed the system will automatically attempt payment three times, over and above this a £20 administration fee will be applied.

We reserve the right to suspend attendance where fees remain unpaid.

Adult classes: No place is guaranteed until payment is received. Classes are booked either monthly or weekly, with places offered on a first come, first served basis. Class fees are non-transferable and non-refundable.

Holiday camps and workshops: Once payment is made, we cannot issue refunds. Any refund under exceptional circumstances is discretionary. If a child is unable to attend, we can and will offer an alternative date that falls within the same camp period.

Additional charges: These can include, but are not limited to, show fees, competition fees, exam fees. Once payment is received these are non-refundable and only in extenuating circumstances will we consider transferring these to another occasion or use.

Attendance: If you are unable to attend, we would appreciate notification where possible, although this is not compulsory.

Missed classes: If you do not attend a class, we are unable to give refunds or carry classes forward.

If a class is cancelled, we will do our best to provide a suitable alternative or make-up class. In the unlikely event that this is not possible, or your dancer is unable to attend the alternative date, refunds will not normally be offered.

If face to face classes are cancelled due to factors beyond our control, including, but not limited to, covid-19 restrictions, we reserve the right to provide an online class as a substitute.

Behaviour and conduct: We reserve the right to refuse admission or remove any participant whose behaviour is unsafe, disruptive, abusive or inappropriate without refund.

Clothing and footwear: Participants are expected to wear the correct uniform, footwear and hair as specified by fiery feet. Jewellery should not be worn unless agreed for medical or religious reasons.

Health and fitness: By attending classes, participants confirm that they are physically able to participate in dance activities. Any injuries or medical conditions that may affect participation must be disclosed before attending.

Illness: please do not attend classes if you have a contagious illness or are experiencing symptoms that could place others at risk.

Medical information and emergencies: Parents/guardians are responsible for informing fiery feet of any medical conditions, allergies or additional needs that may affect participation. In the event of an emergency, fiery feet may seek appropriate medical treatment if a parent or emergency contact cannot be reached. Any associated costs remain the responsibility of the participant or parent/guardian.

Parent collection: Parents/guardians are responsible for collecting children promptly at the end of class. We cannot supervise children outside scheduled class times.

Responsibility: Fiery Feet and its staff are responsible for students only during scheduled classes, workshops, camps or other organised activities while they are under the direct supervision of a fiery feet teacher. Parents/guardians remain responsible for ensuring children arrive safely and are collected promptly. Our duty of care begins when students enter the class under the supervision of a fiery feet teacher and ends when the class finishes.

Limitation of liability: Whilst every reasonable care is taken to ensure participants' safety, dance is a physical activity and carries an inherent risk of injury. Fiery Feet shall not be liable for injuries except where caused by our negligence or any liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Personal belongings and mobile phones: Participants are responsible for their own personal belongings. Mobile phones should be switched off during classes unless required for medical reasons or with prior permission from the teacher.

Data protection: Personal information will be processed in accordance with our privacy policy and applicable UK data protection legislation.

Photography and video: From time-to-time photographs and videos may be taken during classes, performances and events for promotional purposes. Please ensure you have opted in/out on the class4kids booking portal at the point of sign up.

Safeguarding: Fiery Feet is committed to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults. All staff and volunteers work in accordance with our safeguarding policies, which are available upon request.

Equal opportunities: Fiery Feet is inclusive, and we treat everyone respectfully and equally.

Changes to timetable: we reserve the right to change teachers, class times, venues or timetables where reasonably necessary.

Force majeure: We shall not be liable for cancellations or interruptions caused by events beyond our reasonable control including severe weather, government restrictions, industrial action, pandemics, utility failures, venue closures or any other event beyond our reasonable control.

Intellectual property: Choreography, music edits and teaching materials remain the intellectual property of fiery feet and may not be reproduced or shared without permission.

Communication: Official communication will be made via email. It is the parent's responsibility to ensure their contact details remain up to date.

Governing law: These terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
